Tipster service

I said I wouldn't but I will...

My tips for the Cheltenham Gold Cup are:
  • Kauto Star - ridden by the marvellous Ruby Walsh.
  • Cane Brake - nice name.
  • Idle Talk - the bloggers' favourite.
Disclaimer: Do not back a horse based on my tips. It will only lead to heartache. I will not be responsible for the loss of any monies due to you disobeying this advice. However, if you do win thanks to my foresight, commission should be paid at the rate of 25% ...

Did Extic Dancer do anything? They were making crap jokes about its name on BBC Breakfast this morning.

That should be Exotic Dancer

Exotic Dancer was second.

There were three greys - I am usually waylaid by greys as I have one myself. However, grey racehorses tend to be very very good or very very bad! You don't tend to get mediocre ones.

My (student)son backed Katchit (2pm); Wichita Lineman (2.35pm) and Kauto Star (to win) and Exotic Dancer (each way). Haven't found out yet how he did in last three races.

Sarnia, your son had some hot tips... you should get a good mother's day pressie this year!

He won £15 M&M. (Only put on a quid a bet - well, he is a student).

I don't bother with Mothers' Day - think it's over-hyped, commercial rubbish.

My sister-in-law trains horses (in Devon). She and my brother don't make any money from it (or hardly any) but love it.

They got their first winner couple of weeks ago (at small racecourse) and he came 5th last Sunday at Warwick.

Mother's Day has its origins in something to do with the church I think. Servants at big houses were allowed to go home and spend the time with their mothers.

It is too commercialised now but I think why not treat her as a thank you for all the things she does. I know my mum deserves a treat!
