Sprite

Bank holiday weekend, it would seem, means only one thing: convoys of caravans compelled north on some strange pilgrammage to God's Own Country.

They crawl up the grey ribbon that is the single carriageway of the A1 like cream coloured lice.

Last time, I was stuck behind a 'Crusader'; this time the miscreant was a 'Sprite'. Funny thing was, there was nothing spritely about it ...

That's funny - I thought they all headed down the M5 or the A303 to plague our roads in Oo Arr country.
We're staying put this weekend, to avoid caravans, weekenders and rain.

We're coming down to yooarr neck of the woods BM. Watch out for Priuses with London plates...

My tip for road rage M&M. Buy a Gilbert O'Sullivan CD...

Have a good one.

Sahd.

Ah, but can you blame the visitors M&M, when you paint such a beautiful picture of the place on your blog? I like SAHD's road rage solution - radical!

I was stuck on the A1 once behind what I thought was a Sprite. Later I realised it was a 7-UP.

Beta Mum, there must be a split somewhere - we get the ones coming north of Birmingham, and you get the ones going south, perhaps?

SAHD, I think that would worsen my road rage! I saw a documentary with him on around Christmas time. He thought a lot of himself, didn't he?

Drunk Mummy, thank you, but I don't think it has anything to do with me - they've been doing it long before I started blogging!

Boom, boom, Brom!

Ah, the joys of the A1. Don't you just love it.. perhpas it's just the caravans that have the NE/SW split as the majority of my cottage visitors come from the SW. Gloucestershire, strangely enough.
